Once and Again + Refill + Recs
Hi everyone! It's been raining a lot here, which is typical for Autumn. Though it isn't here yet, it has sent their wind and water to make it clear that it's coming. I've even had to cook the first stew of the year last night. Every year, it gets hard to close the windows when the weather changes, but I guess I have to accept that the cool weather has arrived.
I've released two games these days! Since both were for jams, it was time-sensitive to put them up on itch io.
Refill is a cozy and nostalgic GMless 2 player TTRPG about two people that grow old and apart. Twenty years later, the players find themselves in the diner they used to spend their time after school. They were best friends, but then life got in their way. This game is part of my experimenting with ways to reuse prompts in-game, how to work with the same prompt, and not getting repetitive. This game also has a Spotify list to use as a jukebox. It also has one of my favorite layouts I've done until now.
Once And Again is a solo journaling game about storytelling and destiny, inspired by the videogame Where The Water Tastes Like Wine. This game is also part of my experimenting with reusing prompts -as was Log Lady-. In this game, you gather stories and experiences that will later be shared with you by different people with variations but still the same story.
I also want to let you know that Xenoarcheology, which is still itchfunding, has its updated version; it is still not final, but it has new content!
There is still a day to get the Women In TTRPG Bundle! We put together this in honor of Women's History Month, and it's doing pretty well. You can get 50 games by 50 creators from all around the world for 30 USD.
Some TTRPG recommendations
If you haven't checked Cat's work yet, you need to get your hands on The Vampire Next Door, a roleplaying game for 3-7 players, where it's down to the kids to be smarter than the adults and save the day from their neighbor, definitely a vampire.
Gabe has released The Sunstar Garden, a micro-location, a garden under the silvery light of a lone Sunstar, a place in-between worlds tended by a Hermit where they grow flowers that sing, trees that make no shade, and fruits that feed you your happy memories.
If you're into football (soccer), the game designed by Papaterra is the first one he does! Roll'd Cup is a playtest where you can enjoy the authentic football experience and build many kinds of characters. It will keep evolving, but check it out!
A small table to say goodbye. I think I'll put them all together later, by the season. That might work. I like getting complex prompts and inspirations from small-themed tables (as you might see in my latest games). The rain has made me feel a bit lazy, so there this table is born
Things to do when it rains (1d6)
