Though for many of you, Spring is coming, here the days are getting shorter and grey-ish. Autumn is almost upon us, and it's getting colder. The town I live in has short summers and cold weather most of the year, and I enjoy it, nevertheless. My latest game, Dino Park, is out now. I finally got a new computer to work on everything I need to work on, including some jams I'm excited to work on. This game was made in the context of the Internation Parks Jam, inspired by Evergreen Wilds, a game that Disaster Tourism designed. In my variation of that game, you are a worker on Dino Park, the first park that has brought dinosaurs to life! You have daily chores and tasks, nothing out of the ordinary, but some stuff might go wrong, and you might need to run away, to be honest. Sometimes, it's just a regular season, and nothing goes wrong. I even made a cute map with a kit for it! It feels natural to recommend Clever Girl, a Wretched&Alone game by Matthew Gravelyn that was part of the inspiration for this game. It has a 2-players version in which you can play as the raptor and as the human, and it's super cool. Some other entries for this International Parks Jam include Solstice Grounds, by Tally, a game about tranquil vacations in a sometimes surreal park; Iani Chaos by Christian Sorrell, about the first martian park; and La Reina Roja, by Mo, a game about the experiences of being in the desert. I've discovered I enjoy making small tables that later can be used all together to form a more complex idea, so I'll be leaving in each newsletter small tables that, if you put them together, can generate something else: Autumn aromas I love (1d6)lemon peelpine needlesmorning coffeebarkcinnamonsalty pumpkin seedsI hope everyone enjoys this newsletter.
